IN THE STYLE OF ALBERT RANGER PATZSCH
photo shoot 1
i think that i have done a great job recreating his photos because i have taken these photo in my opinion at a very high quality. to create these images i have used a light box which gives me a light plain white background which makes the glasses stand out because they are transparent which give it a sparkly look and a clean Finnish. Secondly i have also used a A3 size paper and a lamp to create the shadow affect which is reflected onto the paper which also creates a relaxing and calm image .

response to Albert ranger patszch working with metals
I went to Rob Fry's Photographer for my work experience and he showed me many skills which I used on a outer studio photo-shoot. This gave me to opportunity to put my photography skills too the test. The photos which are to the left was complete done by me and now on some websites and Facebook pages and public talks. I used the skills I learnt there and used them to create my own ALBERT RANGER PATZSCH style metal photographs.
Andrew Lawson ( Garden /plant photographer)
He has been fascinated by gardens all of his life. He started gardening at school, aged 10, and have looked after gardens ever since, sometimes two at a time.He trained as a painter and only discovered photography quite late in the day. When he fell into garden photography in 1985, he had no idea that it could be a profession. But that is how it has turned out. For him, being a garden photographer brings together his joint passions for natural history and for making pictures.

RECREATING HIS PHOTOS
I have attempted to recreate his work by using all sorts of plants and all sorts of colouring.I used manual mode for most of these photos to allow me to get focus when get really close to the subject. This worked because i was able to move and change the focus point on my DSLR to get the perfect shot. It is extremely hard to pick a favourite as i really like almost every photo. If i had to pick one it would be the roses this is because this photo was taken in Manual mode and i got the perfect natural lighting. This image was so good it got picked to be published in a local newspaper. Lastly i love the vibrancy of all the different coloured roses.
My Best Photo
Peter de Lory
Peter de Lory uses natural repetition in his work which I have tried to recreate in my photo shoot inspired by his work. Most of his work use natural things like the hills for example.
Lisa Milroy
In response to Lisa Milroy's work with repetition
I have had a go at trying to recreate Lisa Milroy's photo but using my own objects. In my photo shoot I have used a lot of repetition which is demonstrated in her work. I have mainly used everyday objects that you would normally find around the house which again is also reflected in her work. Lastly I have used bold and bright colours on a white background to really make you focus on the objects themselves.
Refining my Work
I am extremely happy with the way this image has turned out. My favourite part of this photo is how its starts light in the foreground and as you go into the background it slowly gets darker and darker. I have made this relate to repetition by using the stones in the wall and captured there repetition. |
I like this photo because i like the repetition on the railings and the angle i have used to capture it. I also like the closer you get the more you see of the repetition for example i see the railings then the closer i look i can see the windows on the ship the lastly i can see the repetition of the cranes line up on the docks. |
I am not completely happy with the way this photo has can out. This is mainly because by using the quick select tool it don't pick up everything which is mainly why its so quick. As a result of this i have but the copied image that I didn't want on there. So in conclusion I would next time uses a different selection tool for complicated photo like this one for an example. |
in these four photos i have repeated the same process of using Photoshop to turn them into black and white to see what king of affects i can get and i am pleased to say that i am very happy the way they all turned out.
final edit
I have chosen this as my final edit because of the amount to repetition and how much this photo represents repetition. My favourite part of this photo is the two hearts in between the swans. This looks extremely natural and creates a sense of beauty within the photo.
evaluation of the repetition project
I enjoyed this project because it was a challenge having the be on the look over for all repetition. My favourite part of this project was the Peter de Lory. This is because i was able to take breath taking landscapes which you dont very often see everyday. The was also my favourite because it gave me the chance to look for a deeper meaning in all the photo and having to spot the repartition hidden in the landscape.I again had no dislike to this project because it was a massive challenge looking out and creating the repetition.
